Subjects Studied at Nether Stowe SchoolKey Stage 3 - Year 7 to 9 At Nether Stowe, all students follow a common curriculum in the first three years. This curriculum is broad and balanced that includes English, Mathematics, Science, Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), Geography, History, Art, Music, Drama, Technology, Physical Education (PE), Information Communication Technology (ICT), Religious Education (RE) and Citizenship.

Key Stage 4 - Years 10 and 11 At the end of Year 9 pupils make their subject choices for Key Stage 4. This is done in consultation with parents and teachers. All students at Key Stage 4 do study a core set of subjects which are key in providing the key life skills. The broad range of subjects studied in the three foundation years will be replaced by a more detailed study of core and optional subjects.
Key Stage 5 - Years 12 and 13 After students have successfully completed their GCSE's, they are then allowed to enter the 6th Form. Here they have a choice of subjects that they can undertake. All students studying for their AS-Levels or A-Levels are given the opportunity to help enhance their studies by being offered a student laptop. They have also been provided with a school email address so that teachers can keep in contact with their students and students can keep in contact with their teachers. They can access their emails in and out of school. |
